Summary
The Institute of Land Reclamation offers consumers lightweight designs of absorption wells for the drainage of surface water from closed depressions (depressions) under a manufacturing agreement and/or subcontracting and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
The wells are designed to drain surface water from hollows and closed depressions in the relief into a drainage collector and are installed during the reconstruction and restoration of drainage systems.

Scope. New construction, reconstruction and repair of drainage systems.

Description. The absorption wells are made of elements of polyethylene pipes with a diameter of 225 mm with a volumetric filter. They are connected to the drainage collector through couplings.

Six types of absorption wells with modifications have been developed. KPP-1 and KPP-4 are used for depressions (depressions) with a flat or low-slope bottom, have one upper external settling tank. KPP-2 and KPP-5 are used on suffusion soils, have two upper external settling tanks, and KPP-3 and KPP-6 are used for depressions (depressions) with a flat and low-slope bottom on suffusion soils, have an outer and inner upper settling tank.

The following groups of absorption wells are distinguished according to their placement on the drainage network:

- KPP-1, KPP-2, KPP-3 - are arranged directly in the depression and connected to the drainage collector with a ceramic or polyethylene insert;

- KPP-4, KPP-5, KPP-6 - are arranged on the drainage collector.

Modifications of absorption wells of types KPP-1, KPP-2 and KPP-3 are selected depending on the diameter of the drainage collector and the material of the connecting insert, and KPP-4, KPP-5, KPP-6 - depending on the diameter and material of the drainage collector.

Absorption wells are made of polyethylene pipe elements with a volumetric filter. They are connected to the drainage collector through couplings. The settling tank installed in the upper (above-ground) part of the absorption well prevents sediments from entering the drainage collector and prevents its silting. Six types of absorption wells have been developed. They are import-substituting products.

The information is posted in the "Album of Promising Developments of the NAS of Belarus Organizations for the Real Sector of the Economy" (2023), pp. 448 - 449. (in Russian) and on the Institute's website here. (in Russian)
Advantages and Innovations
The design has a connecting element that ensures protection of the drainage collector in an emergency. Reduced weight, high durability.

A well made of polymer material is much lighter than a reinforced concrete analogue, it can be transported and installed without the use of machines.

The level of development meets the requirements of the regulatory acts in force in the Republic of Belarus: the Law "On Land Reclamation", the Rules for the Operation of Land Reclamation Systems, TKP for reconstruction and repair.

Additional comments
RUE "Institute of Land Reclamation" is the leading scientific institution in the country in the field of land reclamation and grassland management.

The Institute of Land Reclamation provides scientific support for the use of more than 4.5 million hectares of agricultural land, including 2.9 million hectares of drained land and 1.6 million hectares of meadow land with a natural water regime.

The main areas of scientific and scientific-technical activity:
- Development of highly efficient energy- and resource-saving technologies and design solutions for the construction, operation, repair and reconstruction of land reclamation systems, management of the water-air regime of reclaimed lands and irrigation.
- Development of highly efficient energy- and resource-saving technologies and design solutions for the construction, operation, repair and reconstruction of land reclamation systems, management of the water-air regime of reclaimed lands.
- Modeling and comprehensive monitoring of reclaimed areas and the environment using modern diagnostic methods, computer technologies of geographic information systems and databases for information support for making ecologically and economically efficient decisions in planning and designing reclamation measures and using reclaimed lands.
- Creation of highly efficient zonal farming systems on reclaimed lands that ensure rational use of land resources and sustainable functioning of natural systems.
- Development of economically and environmentally sound technologies for intensifying the use of hayfields and pastures, including grass seed production.
