SPC specialists in this field have developed:
- a number of state standards of the Republic of Belarus for confectionery and fat-and-oil products and test methods;
- technical specifications for confectionery and fat-and-oil products;
- standard technological regulations for the production of refined deodorized rapeseed oil and other fat and oil products;
- new confectionery products for preschool and school-age children (candy caramel and with fillings, marshmallows, toffee, chocolate, cookies), as well as preventive nutrition confectionery products with reduced sugar content;
- sandwich products (spreads), characterized by a balanced fatty acid composition and a high content of microelements;
- personal hygiene products for children (cream soap, shampoo).

The Scientific and Practical Center for Foodstuffs of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus occupies a leading position in the food industry due to the concentration of scientific research aimed at solving current problems in the development of new technologies and equipment, creating a series of new competitive food products for various groups of the population.

Main objectives in the field of quality:
- formation of fundamentally new methodological foundations for conducting fundamental and applied research aimed at implementing state development programs of the Republic of Belarus in the field of the food industry;
- creation and implementation of new knowledge-intensive and energy-saving technologies (biotechnologies) for deep processing of raw materials of plant and animal origin;
- development of a wide range of food products for functional, preventive and special purposes (including for children), meeting international standards of quality, safety and competitiveness.

The main activities of the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Foodstuffs”:
- scientific support of technological and technical problems of improvement and reconstruction of enterprises in the fruit and vegetable, starch, wine, alcohol, alcoholic beverage, beer and soft drinks, fat and oil industries, confectionery, sugar and other sectors of the food industry in order to increase the competitiveness and quality of food products;
- creation and implementation of new technologies for deep processing of raw materials of animal and plant origin for the production of a wide range of food and feed;
- development of technical regulatory legal acts (STB, technical conditions, GOST, Codes of established practice, technical regulations of the Customs Union and amendments to them), technological documents (technological instructions, recipes) of food products, incl. products for functional, preventive, health and special purposes (including for children), meeting international standards of quality, safety and competitiveness;
- development of technical documentation and passports for equipment, production of experimental and serial technological equipment for the food industry, general purpose machines and equipment;
- development of technologies for storing and preparing for processing raw materials of plant and animal origin;
development of new and revision of existing standards for the consumption of raw materials and auxiliary materials for food industry enterprises;
- certification of food, perfume and cosmetic products, containers and packaging; assessing production laboratories for technical competence, metrological support for production of food industry enterprises;
- development of methods, conducting tests to determine quality and safety indicators of raw materials and food products, issuing test reports.

Agreements on scientific and technical cooperation have been concluded, including international agreements with scientific organizations of the People's Republic of China and with research institutes of the Russian Federation. In total, there are more than 70 international agreements on scientific and technical cooperation with scientific organizations and universities in Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Armenia, Sweden, Bulgaria, and China. Representatives of foreign organizations take part in seminars and conferences organized by the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Foodstuffs”.
