Summary
B.I. Stepanov Institute of Physics offers consumers a laser spectral analyzer of the elemental composition of low-alloy steels and alloys under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
The analyzer is designed to determine the elemental composition of solids in real time by non-destructive testing.

Areas of use:
- input quality control of metals and alloys, and their compliance with the nomenclature of supplies;
- analysis of changes in the elemental composition of reinforced concrete structures under the influence of the environment;
- identification of items of historical and cultural heritage, etc.

A special analysis technique based on an intelligent trainable model provides a significant increase in the accuracy and sensitivity of the device compared to analogues.

The analyzer eliminates the use of bulky and expensive spectrometers operating with
using inert gases.

Included in the Catalog of exhibits (TOP DEVELOPMENTS by exposition clusters) of the exhibition of scientific and technological achievements "Intellectual Belarus 2023".
Advantages and Innovations
Advantages:
- compactness, mobility;
- the ability to work offline in the field;
- no need for physical separation of the samples under study from the structures of buildings and other objects under study;
- lack of preliminary sample preparation;
- record low cost of elemental composition determination procedure.
