Description
Plasma medicineis a new direction of science that combines plasma physics and plasma chemistry with biology and medicine.

Advantages of plasma medicine:
* control, stimulation and catalyzation of biological processes in living tissues;
* providing a therapeutic effect at sterilization and wound healing;
* stopping of bleeding during a skin diseases treatment, including burns;
* can be used for heat-sensitive surfaces, including skin and mucous membranes.

B.I.Stepanov Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has developed the «ALOE» apparatus, which generates an air plasma jet containing nitrogen reactive particles and has a bactericidal effect on cells of various levels of organization and a healing effect when treating infected wounds.

Features of the apparatus:
* application of a glow discharge at direct current at atmospheric pressure in the air;
* application of chemically and biologically active molecules as bactericidal factors: (NO, N2O, HNO2, O3);
* no DNA destroy.

The apparatus has:
* convenient interface with touch keys;
* the possibility of comprehensive monitoring and control of gas;
* low operating gas consumption;
* high quality of treatment.
