Summary
The Scientific and Practical Center for Animal Husbandry offers consumers new breeding lines of the Belarusian draft horse breed by selling young breeding stock under a manufacturing agreement and/or a license agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
The new lines are intended to increase the competitiveness and demand for Belarusian draft horses based on the formation of new genealogical structures in it with the presence of stallions and mares of original exterior and constitutional characteristics, productive in a variety of uses, not only in harness, but also under saddle.
The use of horses of two created stud lines "16 Bor Lesnoy", "84 Ranok" expands the scope of application of the Belarusian draft breed not only in harness, but also in the most popular leisure horse breeding. Stallions and mares of the lines combine the good productive qualities inherent in the breed, unpretentiousness with the originality of the exterior, due to their origin from outstanding leaders of the breed unrelated to each other.

Advantages and Innovations
In the conditions of breeding according to the lines of Belarusian draft horses, it is not advisable to use stallions and mares of other breeds for reproduction. Horses of the line "16 Bor Lesnoy" exceed the breed standard in a set of traits by 2.4-5.4%, the line "84 Ranok" - by 1.3-3.7%. Without the use of crossbreeding, they ensure the improvement of breeding and utility qualities of young animals.
The overall phenotype assessment for 4 traits is 33.5-33.7 points, the pregnancy rate of mares is 75-100%. The maximum traction force during tests is 270.4-283.4 kg. The height of overcoming obstacles is 0.9 m and more. All traits are inherited, and the lines are interrelated during crosses.
Horses of the created stud lines are technologically easy to maintain and use, do not require specific conditions of feeding, maintenance and operation.

The Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Animal Husbandry is the only scientific center in the country conducting research in the field of selection, reproduction, maintenance technology and effective feeding rations for farm animals. It coordinates the activities of four subsidiary unitary enterprises. The main goal of the Scientific and Practical Center is to concentrate the scientific potential of the republic on increasing the efficiency of animal husbandry through comprehensive scientific research and the introduction of scientific developments into production, their author's support, as well as improving the skills of animal husbandry specialists through courses, seminars, conferences, postgraduate and doctoral studies.
The main areas of scientific and scientific-technical activities of the organization are:
- Carrying out fundamental and applied research aimed at developing effective methods for accelerated breed formation and reproduction of farm animals;
- Improving the breeding of new breeds, crosses, types and lines of farm animals (dairy and beef cattle, pigs, horses and sheep), birds and fish bred in the republic;
- Development of environmentally friendly technologies for feeding, keeping, reproducing and using animals, ensuring maximum manifestation of their genetic potential with minimum expenditure of labor, energy and feed;
