Modern design concepts and methods of translating national traditions in the architecture of Belarus have been identified. They contribute to solving issues of protection and preservation of architectural, historical and cultural heritage, shaping traditions, and the identity of small towns.

The issues of the impact of cultural traditions of architectural, historical and cultural heritage sites on the attractiveness of small towns in Belarus and the formation of new tourist routes on their basis have been developed; An assessment is made of the state of preservation of historical city centers and optimization of their protective zones in the context of modern globalization processes. The basic principles of incorporating a new object into the historical urban environment are revealed, and methods for adapting architectural monuments to new functions are defined. The stylistic evolution of forms of material culture has been revealed, which has made it possible to introduce it into the context of general cultural processes characteristic of domestic and pan-European society.
