Summary
The Institute is looking for partners in the People's Republic of China to implement two projects within the framework of the Belarusian-Chinese call for joint scientific projects "BRFFR-NSFC-2024"
Description
The Institute is looking for partners in the People's Republic of China to carry out two projects within the framework of the Belarusian-Chinese joint scientific projects "BRFFR-NSFC-2024" («БРФФИ–НФЕНК-2024»):
Project 1) Modeling of a software and hardware complex for monitoring the technical condition and energy consumption of residential buildings.
Brief information about the problem. In the Republic of Belarus, about 80% of multi-apartment residential buildings were built before 1996. They have a specific heat energy consumption of over 160 kWh/m2 per year, while modern houses have an indicator of less than 100 kWh/ m2 per year.
The research suggests the substantiation of models, methods and means to reduce the specific costs of thermal energy in old houses with centralized and decentralized heating and hot water supply.
Project 2) Substantiation of the methods of application of stabilized soils obtained on the basis of aerobic composting of sewage sludge from urban sewage systems.
Brief information about the problem. The Institute is developing a technology for aerobic composting of sewage sludge from urban sewage systems with other municipal organic waste. It is required to conduct analytical studies to substantiate the possible use of compost, for example, for land reclamation, road construction, etc., in compliance with sanitary standards.

Additional comments
The main activities of the Institute:
- systemic economic and resource analysis of the industry, cost monitoring and environmental assessment in areas of activity;
- justification, development and implementation of energy-efficient environmentally sound technologies and technical means for housing and communal services;
- conducting fundamental and applied scientific research, scientific and technical (technological) developments in assigned scientific areas;
- development of new methods, techniques, science-based industry standards and recommendations;
- training of personnel of the highest scientific qualification.
Tasks of the Institute:
- economics of housing and communal services (mechanisms for increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of industry enterprises in the digital economy to ensure the quality and availability of public services, mechanisms for attracting extra-budgetary investment resources to promising projects in the housing sector);
- "smart" technologies for the operation of housing and communal services (methodology for the formation of a single information space for the communal sector, combining modern management systems, the introduction and use of information and communication technologies aimed at minimizing the loss of material and financial resources, ensuring comfortable living for a person);
- new methods and systems for managing communal resources (in energy and heat supply, taking into account the expanded use of electricity and renewable sources; water supply and sanitation, taking into account the structural, economic and innovative modernization of the economy; in the waste management system, taking into account their in-depth processing and transfer into secondary material resources).
