Summary
Scientific and Practical Center for Arable Farming offers consumers modification services for local conditions of the industry regulations "Cultivation of spring feed barley" under an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
Industry regulations for standard technological processes for cultivating barley for feed purposes are a regulatory document containing achievements of scientific and technological progress, establishing requirements for the most rational implementation of technological operations, and containing a list of controlled parameters, norms, and levels of assessment of the quality of labor. The introduction of industry regulations will make it possible to obtain yields ensured by fertility and cultivation technology.

The appendices contain requirements for the quality of the most important technological operations and methods for their assessment, a technological map and other documents for the cultivation of spring feed barley in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus.

The work was carried out by a team of authors of the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Arable Farming, Intended for farms and specialists in the agro-industrial complex, researchers, teachers of agricultural universities and technical schools.

The technological regulations are posted on the website https://izis.by in the section "Recommendations and industry regulations" (in Russian).

Additional comments
The SPC for Arable Farming is a leading research organization in the agricultural sector of the country. The main scientific area of activity of the Scientific and Production Center for Agriculture - is the comprehensive development of issues of cost-effective production of crop products while complying with environmental protection requirements.

The primary goal - the creation of highly productive varieties and hybrids of agricultural crops, improvement of the seed production system, ensuring the intensification of the crop production industry based on the development of zonal farming systems adapted to specific soil and climatic conditions, development of highly efficient cultivation technologies, use of fertilizers and plant protection products.

Main tasks:
• Creation of new competitive varieties and hybrids of grains, legumes, cereals, industrial and fodder crops with improved economically useful traits, high and stable productivity, resistance to lodging, diseases, and pests, frost and winter hardiness, combining high responsiveness to soil fertility and resistance to limiting environmental factors.
• Development of integrated, economically and biologically sound land use systems based on the principles of greening and resource-energy saving, ensuring sustainable productivity of arable land, reducing energy consumption and production costs, and expanding reproduction of soil fertility.
• Development of highly efficient, resource-saving technologies for the integrated use of macro- and micro-fertilizers for new varieties and crops, ensuring the formation of high yields and quality of crop products at the level of the required standards.
• Use of the National Seed Bank of genetic resources of economically useful plants as an object of national heritage for the purposes of collection, preservation, study, and practical use in selection, production, and interstate exchange.
• Development of new forms of complex fertilizers, balanced in terms of nutrient ratios, for major crops, taking into account their biological characteristics and soil fertility status.
• Development and implementation of resource-saving integrated systems for protecting agricultural crops from pests, diseases, and weeds in conditions of adaptive farming.
• Development and improvement of highly efficient resource-saving zonal systems of reclamation agriculture and grassland farming, ensuring increased productivity of reclaimed lands, sustainable functioning of agroecosystems, conservation and rational use of natural resources.

Main areas of activity and cooperation:
• Creation and evaluation of source material for the selection of grain and industrial crops, and perennial grasses using genetic and biotechnological methods.
• Creation of new varieties and hybrids of grains, legumes, cereals, and industrial crops with improved economically useful traits, resistance to lodging, diseases, pests, frost, and winter hardiness, combining high responsiveness to soil fertility and resistance to limiting environmental factors.
• Development of comprehensive economically and biologically sound land use systems based on the principles of greening and resource-energy saving, ensuring sustainable productivity of arable land, reducing energy consumption and production costs, and expanding the reproduction of soil fertility.
• Creation of highly productive varieties of perennial legumes and cereal grasses with increased competitiveness in agrophytocenoses and stable seed productivity, heterotic hybrids of corn and fodder beet of the semi-sugar type, ensuring sustainable seed production in the conditions of Belarus.
• Development on a contractual basis of agro-zoo-economic business plans for profitable management.
