Description
Thin (thickness from 1 to 3 mm) and ultrathin (thickness from 0.4 to 1 mm) steam chambers have been developed for cooling systems for heat-loaded hard-to-reach electronic components and devices, including mobile devices.

The steam chamber with a thickness of 1 to 3 mm is designed for cooling systems for hard-to-reach heat-loaded
electronic components and devices.

Unique superhydrophilic wicks for steam chambers with enhanced capillary transport characteristics have been developed.

Various types of surface hydrophobization, modes for creating a surface with controlled wetting properties have been tested.

Steam chambers are characterized by high isothermality (thermal resistance from 0.1 K/W (with a thickness of 3 mm) to 1 K/W (with a chamber thickness of 1 mm)), which is comparable to the best world analogues:
* Thermacore, USA (0.1..0.25 K/W for chamber thickness 1..2.5 mm);
* Fujikura, Japan (0.2..0.3 K/W for chamber thickness 0.7..1.5 mm).
In addition, the developed steam chambers have a high heat transfer capacity (from 30 W (with a chamber thickness of 1 mm) to 85 W (with a thickness of 3 mm), low cost, resistance to deep freezing and vibration; they are gravitationally independent.

The use of compact steam chambers will solve the problem of thermal stabilization of hard-to-reach point electronics elements. They can be used to cool optoelectronic components at a high heat flux density, cool components of laser technology, radar systems and power electronics, control the temperature of heat sources in space technology. Reducing the operating temperatures of the above components and devices will increase their service life, prevent premature failure of the devices in which they are installed, and thereby reduce the cost of repair and maintenance, as well as the production or purchase of new elements and disposal of old ones.
