Summary
A.V. Luikov Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer offers consumers services for modeling and studying the environmental impact on the surface of an apparatus flying at hypersonic speed under an outsourcing agreement or subcontract and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
The stand was created to obtain high-speed high-temperature gas and dust jets to simulate the impact of the environment on the surface of an apparatus flying at hypersonic speed.
The installation allows to study the performance of heat-shielding materials in a wider range of conditions for the thermal and force action of an external flow on the surface of aircraft.
Testing of materials at this facility allows selection of materials characterized by high heat resistance and long service life, which increases the reliability of aircraft and determines the significance of the development for the aerospace industry.

Advantages and Innovations
The speed of the particles of the dispersed phase and other parameters in the high-temperature flow are not lower than in foreign analogous installations. For example, the speed of particles on a similar setup "L2K DLR" (Germany) is up to 1.9 km/s, while the speed of particles on the developed stand reaches 2.2 km/s with a larger (about five times larger) particle size.
