Description
B.I.Stepanov Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus manufactures «Extrasens» apparatuses designed to carry out a complex of physiotherapy procedures due to the effect of physical therapeutic factors of non-damaging regulatory action (optical radiation, millimeter range radiation and a constant magnetic field) on the human body (on somatic cells of the human body).

The following are used as therapeutic factors in the «Extrasens» physiotherapeutic apparatus:
* low-intensity EHF radiation;
* laser radiation of increased intensity in the near-infrared spectral range;
* laser radiation of increased intensity in the near red spectral range;
* polarized radiation from a super-bright LED source in the «violet» region of the spectrum;
* constant magnetic field.

Apparatus «Extrasens» allows you to achieve a high therapeutic effect due to:
* the use of non-divergent (collimated) laser radiation, high output radiation power providing optimal power density and maximum penetration depth into the tissue;
* simultaneous exposure to laser radiation, HF radiation and a constant magnetic field;
* combined effects of laser radiation.

The apparatus provides the possibility of:
* remote exposure (to any point on the surface of the body at any position of the patient) using a guide that provides convenient fixation of the EHF emitter and laser emitter at the desired point of space near the patient's body without contact with the lesion;
* smooth adjustment of the size of the light spot on the patient's body;
effects on lesions of intracavitary localization (through the biopsy channel of medical equipment);
* effects on biologically active points (reflexology);
* works with a universal set of optical instruments for otorhinolaryngology, dentistry, gynecology, urology, proctology.

The display system provides information on:
* the parameters of the affected radiation (radiation power density; duration of the expected exposure);
* on the readiness of radiation sources for operation;
* the presence of radiation at the output of an LED, laser, or HF module.

Indications for the use of the apparatus «Extrasens»:
* otitis, cystitis, prostatitis;
* osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, pyelonephritis;
* chronic tonsillitis;
* osteochondrosis of the spine;
* chronic and acute sinusitis;
* liver and gallbladder diseases;
* bronchitis and bronchial asthma and a number of other diseases.
