S.N. Vyshelesski Institute of Experimental Veterinary offers consumers the inactivated emulsified vaccine "Pnevmobakt-L" for the prevention of pasteurellosis in cattle under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
The vaccine is used for active immunization of cattle in herds that are unfavorable and threatened by pasteurellosis (agricultural organizations).

Description:
Homogeneous emulsion from grayish-white to brown in color, during storage of which the formation of a transparent oily layer and (or) a slight creamy-grayish precipitate is allowed, which disappear when the vaccine is shaken.

Characteristic:
The vaccine contains formalin-inactivated antigens of bacteria Pasteurella multocida type A (strain KMIEV - B166), Mannheimia haemolytica (strain KMIEV - B158), Mannheimia haemolytica leukotoxin toxoid and Montanide ISA oil adjuvant.

Application:
Cows and heifers are vaccinated 45-30 days before calving, replacement heifers from 15-16 months of age before insemination once intramuscularly in the region of the middle third of the neck in a volume of 2.0 cm3 or the whole herd without exception once a year (in spring or autumn) once in the same volume.

Calves in agricultural organizations unfavorable for pasteurellosis are immunized twice: initially on the 5-10th day of life and again at the age of 35-50 days intramuscularly in the region of the middle third of the neck in a volume of 1.0 cm3. In threatened herds, calves are immunized once at the age of 5-25 days.

Bulls grown for fattening are vaccinated twice in agricultural supplying organizations that are unfavorable for pasteurellosis according to the scheme: initially on the 5-10th day of life and again at the age of 35-50 days intramuscularly in the region of the middle third of the neck in a volume of 1.0 cm3. In threatened herds, calves are immunized once at the age of 5-25 days.

At the complex, during the quarantine period and when completing groups of bulls and heifers, they are immunized once intramuscularly in a volume of 1.0 cm3.

The slaughter of animals, the use of slaughter products and milk for food purposes is allowed after the application of the vaccine without restrictions.

Release form:
Sterile glass bottles of 10.0; 20.0; 50.0; 100.0; 200.0 cm3, sealed with rubber stoppers and rolled in metal caps.
Storage conditions:
Shelf life of the vaccine is 24 months from the date of manufacture, provided that it is stored and transported in a dry, dark place at a temperature of +2 to +8 °C.

Advantages and Innovations
"Pneumobact-L" causes the production of specific antibodies, and also stimulates nonspecific immunity in animals, increasing the phagocytic activity of cells of the neutrophil-macrophage series and the bactericidal activity of blood serum. Intense humoral immunity in animals is formed on the 14-20th day after vaccination and lasts 6-9 months.

The high level of development of animal husbandry in the Republic of Belarus is largely ensured by the efforts of veterinary medicine and its scientific and methodological center, which is the Republican Unitary Enterprise “S.N. Vyshelesski Institute of Experimental Veterinary".
