The Institute of Economics offers consumers internship services as part of additional education in order to promptly meet the needs of organizations and requests from citizens to improve the professional level of personnel on relevant topics under an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
The Institute of Economics implements an educational internship program for executives and specialists, which is carried out in accordance with Art. 248 of the Education Code of the Republic of Belarus, based on the Regulation on continuous professional education of executives and specialists, approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 01.09.2022 No. 574, and the Regulation(in Russian) on the implementation of the educational internship program for executives and specialists at the institute.
Internships at the institute are conducted in the following areas:
Innovation and investment policy;
Macroeconomic and financial policy;
Foreign economic relations and international integration;
Economy of the service sector;
Monitoring of socio-economic development;
Human development and demography;
State building and law.
Duration of the internship:
up to 5 months in full-time;
up to 8 months in absentia;
up to 1 week for executives of government agencies and other government organizations.
To organize an internship at the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences, it is necessary to send a Referral(in Russian) to the name of the director.
The period for mastering the content of the educational program is established by the sending party in agreement with the management of the institute.
To supervise the internship, the head of the structural unit of the institute where it is supposed to take place appoints a scientific supervisor.
Before starting to draw up documents, the intern must contact the proposed scientific supervisor, agree with him on the internship program and its duration. The internship program (in Russian) is signed by the scientific supervisor, approved by the director of the Institute.
After determining the specific dates and the internship program, the necessary documents are drawn up:
Contract on a paid basis (at the expense of the republican budget); (in Russian)

Within the framework of the general strategic direction "Scientific substantiation of the mechanisms for increasing the competitiveness of the Belarusian economy in the context of globalization", five main thematic blocks of research have been identified:
- theory and methodology for the development of a national socio-economic model;
- institutional and financial mechanisms in the system of macroeconomic regulation;
- theory and mechanisms for the formation of an effective national innovation system;
- scientific foundations of the foreign economic strategy of the Republic of Belarus;
- social processes in economic development.
The research topics correspond to the priorities of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020, defined by the Program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020, as well as the priority areas of scientific research of the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020, approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated March 12, 2015 No. 190 (clause 11 Society and Economy).
Conducting these studies allows the Institute of Economics to maintain the status of a leading scientific organization in the country, developing fundamental problems of economic theory and business practice in various spheres and sectors of the economy, to continue the development of scientific schools of economic theory, macroeconomics, innovative economics, world economy and international economic relations, regional economy.
The Institute also actively participates in the scientific support of government bodies on issues of economic policy pursued in the country, carries out applied economic research conducted by order and in the interests of business entities.
