Summary
A.V.Luikov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of the NAS of Belarus offers consumers a special power supplies under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
At present, high-voltage generators are being developed, produced and used to excite discharges, both with a sinusoidal output voltage in a wide frequency range (from ultrasound to microwave), and pulse generators with a pulse duration up to nanoseconds.

A.V.Luikov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of the NAS of Belarus has developed an experimental model of the power supply and control unit of the electron accelerator (PSC-E) and the X-ray source at energies up to 7.5 MeV of the small-sized pulsed betatron (SPB).

PSC-E includes 14 different modules, which perform the functions necessary for injection, contraction, acceleration, arch electrons from a stationary orbit and direct them to the target to create bremsstrahlung radiation.

The SPB is an induction cyclic electron accelerator in which the energy of particles is increased by a vortex electric field created by a changing magnetic flux passing inside the orbit of particles. They have a sufficiently large radiation energy, a small focal spot size, the ability to regulate the maximum energy, and a continuous spectrum of braking radiation.

The SPB uses accelerator chambers similar to conventional radio tubes, which do not require any vacuum pumps during operation, which is typical for other types of accelerators.

Technical specifications:
number of modules 14
maximum transmission thickness 300 mm
maximum energy braking radiation energy 7.5 MeV
dose rate at a distance of 1m from the target 5 sGr/min
frequency of radiation pulses 200 Hz
power consumption 0,1–2 kW
radiographic sensitivity 1 %
focal spot dimensions 0.2х2 mm

Application areas:
- non-destructive testing of materials and products, both in industry and construction;
- inspection of hand luggage, contents of containers and large vehicles;
- use by special services to solve their tasks;
- radiation tests of radio-electronic equipment in order to predict its service life in outer space;
- radiation therapy with fast electrons of a wide class of oncological and other diseases.

The Institute offers partners:
* special power supplies under a manufacturing agreement;
* special power supplies under a distribution services agreement.
