On November 30, 2020, the NAS of Belarus hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the first Young Scientists Contest "Technology Offers of Belarusian Young Scientists for LG Electronics Inc. 2020". The Contest was organized by the NAS of Belarus and LG Electronics Inc. The diplomas were presented to the winners by the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus academician Vladimir Gusakov.

The diploma of the first-degree awarded to Dmitry Grapow for the offer "COLD EMISSION CATHODE FOR X-RAY AND THZ TECHNIQUE (Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics).

The second-degree diploma was awarded to Vitali Merynov for the offer "NON-CONTACT DETECTION OF LASER-INDUCED ULTRASOUND FOR NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING AND EVALUATION" (V.A. Beliy Metal Polymer Research Institute of the NAS of Belarus).

The third-degree diplomas were awarded to three young scientists:

• Victoria Akulova for the offer "PROTECTIVE SUPERHYDROPOBIC AND OLEOPHOBIC COATINGS" (Institute of Chemistry of New Materials of the NAS of Belarus);
• Nikita Tkachoynok for the offer "DEVELOPMENT OF PHOTOCATALYTIC AND ANTIBACTERIAL TRANSPARENT COATINGS Cu DOPED ZnO FOR SELF-CLEANING AND DISINFECTION OF SURFACE" (Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics);
• Artem Larin for the offer "DEVELOPMENT OF METHODS AND EQUIPMENT FOR MEASURING THE DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF SOFT MAGNETIC MATERIALS" (Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Materials Science).
