On December 15, 2020, a Belarusian-Chinese scientific-technical webinar was held. This event was held within the framework of the 2020 Convention on Exchange of Overseas Talents and the 22nd Guangzhou Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science and Technology (December 15-19, 2020, Guangzhou, China).

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus takes an active part in the Guangzhou Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science and Technology since 2011.

The organizers of the webinar are the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC, the Ministry of Education of the PRC, the Academy of Sciences of the PRC, the People's Government of Guangzhou, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus with the assistance of the Guangdong-CIS International Technological Cooperation Union and the Republican Center for Technology Transfer.

From the Chinese side, representatives of 20 Chinese organizations took part in the webinar, in particular: Huangpu Institute of Advanced Materials, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Institute of Nano Technology Innovation in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area; Guangdong Institute of Corrosion Science and Technology Innovation; Guangzhou Zhuoyue Power New Energy Co., Ltd.; Guangdong Polyrocks Chemical. Co., Ltd; Shenzhen Huayang Communication Technology Co., Ltd., and others.

From the Belarusian side in the webinar took part: academicians Valentin Orlovich, Alexander Laskovnev, Nikolay Kazak, Alexander Bildyukevich; Dr. Andrey Grigoriev, Director of the Institute of Mechanics of Metal-Polymeric Systems named after V.A. Bely; Dr. Andrey Goncharov, Director of the Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering; Dr. Vitally Plavsky, Deputy Director of the B.I. Stepanov Institute of Physics; Dr. Oleg Ignatenko, Deputy Director-General of the Scientific and Practical Centre for Materials Research; Dr. Alexander Uspenskiy, Director of the Republican Center for Technology Transfer, and others.

Presentations of the developments of organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and a discussion of promising areas of cooperation took place.
