Brest Regional Agricultural Experimental Station of the NAS of Belarus offers consumers and producers of agricultural products services for scientific support of Fruit farming in the region under an outsourcing agreement and/or planting material and fruits under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.

Services are provided by specialists in the Fruit Growing Department.

The department's activities include:
Growing healthy clonal rootstocks.
Producing planting material.
Producing commercial fruits (apples, pears, plums).

Research areas:
Introduction and variety testing of fruit crop varieties.
Studying and transferring clones of apple, pear, and plum varieties from various climatic zones to the state propagation system.
Studying and selecting clonal rootstocks for apple, pear, plum, cherry plum, apricot, and peach that are disease-resistant and meet the requirements of intensive fruit growing.
The industrial orchard is planted with varieties of Belarusian, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Czech, and other breeding countries on zoned semi-dwarf and medium-sized rootstocks. The total area is 108.6 hectares.

A modern fruit storage facility with a capacity of 1,200 tons is available for fruit storage.

The department operates a laboratory for micropropagation of fruit crops. Work in the field of biotechnology began in 2005 with the study of the productivity of improved garden strawberry material. Since 2007, the department's specialists have been developing a method for micropropagating clonal apple rootstocks, and a nursery of improved clonal apple rootstocks has been established in open ground.

The department sells clonal apple rootstocks, fruit seedlings, and fresh apples, pears, and plums for cash and by bank transfer.

The department also provides consulting assistance in selecting varieties and cultivation techniques.

The innovative activities of the RUE "Brest OSKHOS NAS of Belarus" include original seed production of new agricultural crop varieties and the production of fruit and berry planting material, in quantities that support planned variety renewal and variety rotation in the Brest Region, thereby directly influencing the development of variety policy in the region. The RUE "Brest OSKHOS NAS of Belarus" is the only producer of original seed material for major agricultural crops in the Brest Region.
