Summary
The Central Botanical Garden offers consumers a range of ornamental forms of woody plants and technological regulations for growing planting material and using ornamental forms in landscaping under a license agreement, replication and supply of import-substituting products of ornamental gardening under a manufacturing agreement, or the sale of technologies with subsequent scientific support under a commercial agreement with technical assistance.
Description
In the interests of ornamental gardening and floriculture of the country, a range of ornamental forms of woody plants and technological regulations for growing planting material and using ornamental forms in landscaping have been developed.

Scope - ornamental gardening and forestry.

The prospects for implementing the development are due to the peculiarities of the formation and functioning of the market for ornamental gardening products - the supply of domestic producers of products is significantly less than the demand - which opens up broad opportunities for expanding the sales market for import-substituting products of perennial ornamental plants.

Advantages and Innovations
The developed promising range of decorative forms of representatives of the genera Ginkgo, Abies and Pinus, including varieties of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, for green construction in the conditions of Belarus and technological regulations for growing and using in landscaping plants of the assortment list will saturate the domestic market with high-quality planting material (including highly decorative forms that have no world analogues), ensure the receipt of export-oriented products.

The ecological and social effects of the development are manifested by expanding the range of forms used in landscaping of urban areas, which contributes to the improvement of the ecological situation, makes it possible to more effectively implement the aesthetic function of modern landscaping objects.

The developed technology is environmentally safe. It allows obtaining standardized planting material adapted to the conditions of Belarus.

The Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is the leading and largest center in the country for the conservation of biodiversity of living plants, a leading scientific institution in the field of introduction, acclimatization, physiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry and ecology of plants. Research and practical work in the field of plant introduction has ensured the creation of a gene pool of ornamental and economically useful introduced plants from more than 15 thousand names.

In accordance with the Charter, the main goal of the Central Botanical Garden is to conduct scientific research in the field of introduction, botany, physiology, biochemistry and biotechnology, ecology, green construction and phytodesign, rational sustainable use and protection of plant resources, as well as the preservation of the gene pool of plants of the world flora.

The Central Botanical Garden is one of the oldest botanical institutions in Belarus. In 1999, by decision of the Government of the Republic of Belarus, it was given the status of a scientific object constituting a national heritage. The Central Botanical Garden has been declared a botanical natural monument of national significance and historical and cultural value. Today it is a unique natural object of landscape gardening art, combining the functions of a metropolitan landmark and an important cultural, educational, ecological and educational center.

The main areas of scientific and technical activities:
- efficient use, renewal and protection of plant resources;
- identification of physiological and biochemical patterns and mechanisms for the formation of plant resistance and productivity;
- creation of scientific foundations for the introduction, protection, selection and management of acclimatization processes and - biological productivity of economically useful plants based on traditional and modern methods of biotechnology and genetic engineering;
- biological monitoring, ecology;
- industrial botany;
- green construction and phytodesign;
- use of plant resources in industry, agriculture, medicine;
- solving problems of biosafety of biological methods and technologies.

Promising areas of work of the Central Botanical Garden:
- development of scientific foundations and practical measures for the effective sustainable use of plant resources in the economy and social sphere of the country, for the conservation of the gene pool of rare and endangered species and habitats of representatives of the Belarusian flora.
- creation of new competitive varieties of ornamental, medicinal, spicy-aromatic, bioenergy plants and projects of original decorative compositions for various landscaping objects, including interiors.
- development of effective methods for accelerated production of planting material based on in vitro culture and methods of identification and protection from bacterial and viral contamination in order to obtain healthy planting material.
- study of the genetic diversity of plants and plant communities, their habitats and ecosystems, solving issues of systematics and taxonomy using traditional and molecular genetic approaches.
