B.I.Stepanov Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus manufactures optical wedges, designed to obtain and measure small beam deflection angles. Their use is useful in devices , where coherent light is used to eliminate unwanted interference effects that may occur in plane-parallel plates.

The materials of the lens substrate are colorless crown glass and flint glass, quartz glass, CaF2 crystals and other materials.
