Description
Experimental and Production Enterprise "Ferrit" of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus manufactures chokes designed to protect power sources from high-frequency interference.

Principle of operation:
The choke is a magnetically conductive core with a conductor wound on it. When an alternating current passes through it, a magnetic flux occurs in the core, which has a small time delay compared to the current strength. During the period of the decline of the passage of the electric current, the magnetic flux is still at the stage of increasing for some time and induces a current having a direction opposite to the main one. Thus, the peak current values are smoothed and the ripple amplitude is reduced.
