Summary
Institute of System Researches in Agroindustrial Complex of the NAS of Belarus offers consumers and organizations in the agro-industrial complex A comprehensive analysis of trends and proposals for developing competition in the food and agricultural markets in the context of digitalization and the influence of global trends under an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
The development is based on a comprehensive analysis of food market development trends from the perspective of global value chains, the market influence of retail chains and wholesale distributors, the monopolization of markets for primary agricultural inputs (seeds, crop protection products, fertilizers), innovation activity and market digitalization, an analysis of food markets within member states (dynamics, structure, key players, and development trends), and the degree and consequences of the EAEU's integration into global food markets. This allowed us to consider and propose best international practices (China, the Russian Federation), including market de-monopolization strategies, threat identification and prevention mechanisms, and tools to stimulate competition. The development contains proposals for developing competition in food markets, based on building sustainable and effective relationships between retail chains and consumer goods suppliers, wholesale distributors, and buyers of agricultural inputs.
The information is published in the Catalogue "100 Best Developments of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for the Country's Economy for 2022–2023" pp. 315–317. (in Russian)

Advantages and Innovations
The development contains a set of scientifically based approaches to analyzing the state and stimulating competition in food and agricultural markets, including a methodology for identifying restrictive practices in the digital economy, algorithms and methods for assessing the effects of transnational agrifood value chains, and proposals for measures to foster competition and promote fair competitive practices in the markets of the EAEU and other integrated organizations.
The research was conducted based on an analysis of international experience and in collaboration with academics and practitioners specializing in food market regulation from EAEU member states, making the development unique and unparalleled.
Implementation will contribute to the creation of favorable conditions for the development of competition in the food market and the strengthening of market incentives for economic activity in key sectors of the economy.
