Summary
A.V. Luikov Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer of the NAS of Belarus offers consumers services for non-contact high temperature measurement under an outsourcing agreement or subcontract and is looking for partners to conclude a manufacturing agreement.
Description
The pulsed photoemission pyrometer (PPP) is designed for non-contact measurements of high temperatures in fast thermal processes under conditions of uncertainty of the thermal radiation coefficient. The device allows you to register the temperature of an object by its radiation in the visible spectral range.

The A.V. Lykov Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer of the NAS of Belarus has developed a pulsed photoemission pyrometer, which implements a temperature measurement method that allows contactless, with a time resolution of up to 1μs, to register temperature in fast thermal processes, the rate of change of which can reach 10^8 K/s.

The PPP optical system makes it possible to register radiation and measure the temperature of an object located at a distance of up to 2m; and the use of a flexible light guide provides temperature measurement in hard-to-reach volumes.

With the help of PPP, it is possible to track the temperature dynamics in processes with a duration of 10 µs, with a time resolution of up to 1µs.

Main technical characteristics:
temperature range 1500÷2800 K
temporary permission up to 1 µs
operating spectral range 400÷800 nm

Areas of use:
- high-speed measurements of temperatures of heat-stressed units of propulsion systems and fuel combustion products during optimization and control of combustion processes;
- temperature measurement of flying heated micro-objects;
- measurement of the melting point of metals.

 The Institute offers partners:
* non-contact high temperature measurement under a outsourcing agreement or subcontract;
* pulse photoemission pyrometer under a manufacturing agreement.

Advantages and Innovations
The developed pulsed photoemission pyrometer allows non-contact temperature registration in fast thermal processes.

The pulsed photoemission pyrometer is equipped with a flexible light guide, which makes it possible to measure temperature in hard-to-reach volumes.

Comments regarding stage of development
Using a pulsed photoemission pyrometer, the dynamics of changes in the temperature of carbon black nanoparticles formed during the pyrolysis of ethylene behind a reflected shock wave has been studied.

Information was obtained on temperatures at various stages of heterogeneous combustion of iron microparticles in oxygen, which made it possible to describe the regularities and propose possible mechanisms for this process.
