Summary
The Institute of Genetics and Cytology offers consumers services for genetic certification of animals, plants and products of animal and plant origin in order to confirm the origin of farm animals, species and variety affiliation, modeling of varieties of agricultural crops under an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
For plant growing, a system of DNA certification of varieties of wheat, flax, tomato, potato, sugar beet, apple, pear, sunflower, barley and soybean has been developed. The genetic certificate of an agricultural crop can be supplemented with data on genes associated with productivity, quality and resistance to diseases and pests.

For the food industry, an analysis of the species of meat components included in the composition of raw materials, food products and feed is carried out, which allows us to determine the source of animal protein, identify counterfeits and plant components in the composition of food products of animal origin.

For animal husbandry, a molecular genetic examination is carried out to confirm the origin of cattle and pigs. At the request of the customer, the genetic certificate is supplemented with data on the carriage of genetically determined diseases and data on genes associated with productivity and quality traits. In cattle, the BLAD, CVM, DUMPS, FXID, ВС, BY genes, leukemia provirus, as well as fertility haplotypes HCD, HH0, HH1, HH2, HH3, HH4, HH5, HHB, HHC, HHD, affecting the degree of pregnancy and / or associated with embryonic and early postembryonic mortality are determined. In domestic pigs, the genes of resistance to colibacillosis and stress, fattening and meat productivity, and prolificacy are analyzed.

Molecular genetic expertise of the species of fish of the sturgeon, salmon, eel families and products from them is carried out with the issuance of a genetic certificate for legal export, import, re-export. DNA identification of herbivorous fish is carried out.

B2B and B2C market goods. The service is competitive, more than 3,000 genetic certificates have been issued. Laboratory test protocols for determining the species affiliation of meat components are recognized in all countries of the Customs Union.

The genetic certificate confirms the authenticity of the animal's origin with an accuracy of 99.9%. The Institute of Genetics and Cytology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is a member of the International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG), which ensures a quality standard of work comparable to the world standard in determining gene variants responsible for economically valuable traits and hereditary diseases of animals; in molecular genetic determination of the authenticity of the origin of animals, their species and breed affiliation.

The developed DNA technologies are safe and relate to genomic research and genomic biotechnology, are high-tech (correspond to the VI technological structure).
