Tolochin tinned food factory is one of the oldest Belarusian wine-making enterprises, founded in 1906 on the basis of the plant of the landowner Gazdzitsky.
The main activities are:
- production of fruit, fruit and berry and grape wines;
- production of potato starch;
- retail trade;
- growing potatoes (for food and technical purposes);
- industrial gardening;
- production of juices and nectars;
- growing grain and oilseeds;
- production of potato seeds, grain crops.
The capacities of the Tolochin tinned food factory allow producing 50 thousand decaliters (dal) of fruit and berry wines and 800 thousand decaliters (dal) of fruit and berry wines per year. The assortment list of alcoholic beverages is more than 50 items. These are fortified fruit wines of improved quality, in addition, the production of 12 types of fruit and berry natural table wines has been mastered, the range of which is constantly expanding.
For the production of products, the company uses only natural domestic raw materials, including those grown in its own garden. In 2005, an industrial fruit and berry garden was laid. Currently, the area is about 800 hectares, which is planted with apple trees, pears, black and red currants, gooseberries, raspberries.
Strict control over the quality of products is carried out by an accredited laboratory.
In 2007, the company introduced an international quality management system in accordance with STB ISO 9001-2001 and a quality and food safety management system based on HACCP principles.
The Tolochin tinned food factory regularly takes part in international and regional specialized exhibitions. In 2008, fruit and berry wines “Rubinovye Zori” and “Zhuravinnoye”, as well as fruit and berry wines “Natural table red currant” were awarded diplomas of the GUST Republican competition.
The company sells on the domestic market potatoes, fruits, and berries of its own production, fruit and berry and natural wines, as well as potato starch. All products, with the exception of finished wines, are exported.
