Summary
Institute of System Researches in Agroindustrial Complex of the NAS of Belarus offers consumers and organizations in the agro-industrial complex Methodological recommendations for determining the criteria for classifying food products and agricultural raw materials as high-value-added goods under an outsourcing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
These methodological recommendations are aimed at identifying high-value-added products linked to a specific manufacturer using specific competitive advantage indicators:
- value-added per unit of the manufacturer's average headcount; per unit of the manufacturer's revenue from product sales;
- per unit of purchased raw materials (primary type) in physical and monetary terms;
- per unit of the total cost of goods sold;
- the share of profit from sales by product type in the manufacturer's total sales profit, as well as calculating threshold levels of relative value-added indicators by type of economic activity for subsequent identification and analysis of groups of manufacturers that account for the bulk of added value.
The objective is to identify product groups that have competitive advantages that enable the manufacturer to create higher levels of added value when selling on the domestic market and for export. These methodological recommendations can be applied to economic analysis at the organizational and economic activity level, providing an objective basis for developing effective measures to increase revenue and added value for manufacturers by identifying, assessing, and maximizing the competitive advantages of their products in domestic and foreign markets.
The information is published in the Catalogue "100 Best Developments of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for the National Economy in 2022–2023." pp. 313–314. (in Russian)

Advantages and Innovations
The methodological recommendations contain the necessary information and methodological tools for identifying effective practices for increasing revenue and added value for agricultural enterprises by identifying and maximizing their competitive advantages in domestic and foreign markets.
They enable the sound development of relevant areas for promoting agricultural products in domestic and foreign markets, taking into account the cost per unit of resources used (labor costs, cost of fixed and working capital, R&D and innovation expenditures, and government support).
No comparable approaches have been identified in global or domestic practice.
