Director of the RCTT Dr. Alexander Uspenskiy took part in the first meeting of the Working Group on Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Qingdao (PRC)
On July 18, 2025, the first meeting of the Working Group on Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Qingdao (PRC) was held online and offline under the leadership of Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev and Chairman of the Qingdao People's Political Consultative Conference Men Qingbing.
The event was organized by the State Institution “Administration of the China-Belarus Industrial Park “Great Stone” and the city of Qingdao.
The meeting of the Working Group was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of China Alexander Chervyakov, Mayor of Qingdao Ren Gang, Deputy Minister of Economy Alesya Abramenko, General Director of the National Center for Marketing and Pricing Nikolai Borisevich, heads and experts of industry ministries and specialized departments, the National Center for Marketing and Price Study, the National Agency for Investment and Privatization, and representatives of about 100 Chinese and Belarusian enterprises. The NAS of Belarus was represented at the meeting by Secretary of the Department of Chemistry and Earth Sciences Dr. Alexei Trukhanov and Director of the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer (RCTT) Dr. Alexander Uspenskiy. The participants of the meeting discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Qingdao.
The protocol of the first meeting of the Working Group includes a clause proposed by the RCTT: “The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, together with the China-SCO Technology Transfer Center (Qingdao), shall work out the issue of creating a Belarusian-Chinese platform for the transfer and commercialization of collective use technologies using artificial intelligence by the end of 2025.”

In 2018, an Agreement on the Establishment of Friendly Relations was concluded between the Orsha District of the Vitebsk Region and the city of Qingdao. In 2024, an Agreement on the Establishment of Partnership Relations was signed between the cities of Minsk and Qingdao, and an Agreement on Cooperation between the China-SCO Technology Transfer Center and the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer.
