The Bayh-Dole Coalition's new report, "The Economic Impact of the Bayh-Dole Act", offering a new look at the nationwide reach of America's technology transfer system.

Drawing on nearly three decades of AUTM licensing survey data, the report finds that Bayh-Dole-enabled technology transfer has helped launch more than 19,000 startups and 17,000 new products and added as much as:

• $3.3 trillion to U.S. gross economic output
• $1.7 trillion to U.S. GDP
• 7.6 million job-years of U.S. employment

For the first time, the analysis also provides state-by-state and regional insights into that impact.
