Summary
The Radio Engineering Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus offers consumers methods, techniques, and algorithms for the technical implementation of radar detection and tracking of hypersonic aircraft under a commercial agreement with technical assistance and/or a licensing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a technical cooperation agreement.
Description
Hypersonic aerial vehicles (HAVs) are defined as those with a flight speed of Mach 5–10 [6,150–12,300 km/h] or higher, and an operating altitude range of 20 to 100 km.
An important characteristic of HAVs for military applications is the impossibility of detecting such objects using traditional radar techniques.
There are several reasons for this:
1) the hypersonic flight speed and extremely high maneuverability of HAVs, which preclude the possibility of radar observation of these objects using traditional methods used against conventional aerial targets;
2) the presence of a dynamically changing plasma shell around the HAV, which absorbs or reflects electromagnetic energy;
3) the very low effective reflective surface of the HAV, rendering these objects "invisible targets."
The development includes:
– a theory for signal isolation against background interference when the hypersonic vehicle is present in several resolution elements in angular coordinates, range, and radial velocity during a single contact
with the target;
– methods, techniques, and algorithms for long-term accumulation of a signal reflected from a maneuvering hypersonic vehicle in the presence of artificial and natural interference and a compromise distribution of observation time between coherent and incoherent accumulation;
– algorithms for detecting and tracking high-speed maneuverable objects and a study of their effectiveness;
– technical implementation options for a hypersonic vehicle detection radar;
– test results confirming the obtained scientific and technical solutions.
The development results can be used in multifunctional radars for the detection and tracking of high-speed maneuverable hypersonic objects in near space.
The information is published in the Catalog "Advanced Developments of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus", 2024, pp. 114-115.

Advantages and Innovations
This development enables the detection and stable tracking of high-speed maneuvering hypersonic objects. Current radar systems lack this capability.
