Description
SSPA «Chemical Synthesis and Biotechnology» of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus manufactures biopesticide «BETAPROTECTIN», designed to control diseases of sugar and table beet, cucumber and tomato cultivars, bulbiferous floral cultures, conifers.

It is based on cells, spores, and metabolic products of the Bacillus subtilis bacterial strain (titer – at least 1.0×109 CFU/g).

The principle of action of the biopesticide «BETAPROTECTIN» is based on the antagonistic relationship between the bacteria Bacillus velezensis and phytopathogenic microorganisms.

Efficiency:
* against black rot of sugar and table beets is:
- when processed during the growing season – 36..60%;
- when storing – 59..76%;
* against root rot of cucumber and tomato – 43.5%;
* against diseases of bulbous and corm flower crops – 54..55%.;
* against diplodia of Scots pine – 99%.
