Summary
Mogilev Regional Agricultural Experimental Station of the NAS of Belarus offers winter wheat varieties Mroy and Varya to consumers and producers of agricultural products under a manufacturing agreement and/or a licensing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
MROYA. Morphological characteristics: Medium-sized (lutescens variety). Semi-erect bush type. Cylindrical, white spikes with medium density. The spikes have long, awn-like branches. The grain is white.

Agronomic and biological characteristics: Mid-season. Highly adaptable, overwinters well in extreme conditions, and is disease-tolerant. Resistant to lodging. Average yield is 66.0 c/ha, which is 14.6 c/ha higher than the Kapilyanka standard. Maximum yield in competitive trials was 79.6 c/ha, and in the State Testing System (GSI) it was 91.8 c/ha. Good baking qualities. Grain density is 840 g/l, 1,000-kernel weight is 54.0 g, vitreousness is 82.0%, protein content is 14.7%, gluten content is 32.6%, and bread volume is 850 ml. The variety is included in the State Register for all regions of the Republic of Belarus.

VARYA. A mid-season, food-grade variety resistant to lodging. Plant height is 90-95 cm. The variety is resistant to major diseases and has high winter hardiness. The maximum yield was 107.0 c/ha, obtained in 2020 at the Kamenets State Scientific and Production Site, the average is 69.6 c/ha. 1,000-kernel weight is 36.7-55.1 grams, crude protein content is 15.2-17.4%, gluten content is 31.0-38.2%, vitreousness is 81%. Added to the State Register of the Republic of Belarus in 2022. Zoned for the Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, and Mogilev regions.

The RUE "Mogilev Regional Agricultural Experimental Station of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" is a research enterprise that was one of the first in the country to initiate flax breeding research and is currently developing new varieties of this crop. Furthermore, we have established the production of original and elite seed material based on selection methods for major agricultural crops. We are also developing and improving adaptive, environmentally friendly, and resource-saving cultivation technologies for individual crops.
