Summary
Experimental Scientific Poultry Breeding Station offers consumers breeding turkey of the white broad-breasted breed under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners interested in a distribution services agreement.
Description
A flock of breeding turkeys with a total number of 300 heads has been created, distinguished by improved reproductive qualities and increased live weight. In general, the flock has achieved an increase in: ejaculate volume by 16.7%, the total number of sperm in the ejaculate by 18.2%, and live weight by 3.7%. The economic effect per 1000 hatching eggs due to
additional output is 243 rubles (2430.0 thousand rubles before denomination). For diluting turkey sperm, an improved medium "Groza" has been developed and recommended for use, in which part of the glucose (50%) is replaced with fructose.
The information is posted on the website of the Experimental Scientific Poultry Breeding Station here. (in Russian)

The Experimental Scientific Poultry Breeding Station is a leading organization in the field of poultry farming, the creation of new and improvement of existing lines and crosses of egg-laying hens, ducks and turkeys, the development of resource-saving technologies for the production of eggs and poultry meat, as well as standards, rations and methods of feeding, participation in the creation of machinery and equipment for poultry farming, the introduction and support of scientific achievements and best practices in breeding and industrial poultry farming.
History of the organization.
The Belarusian Zonal Experimental Station for Poultry Farming was organized in 1968 on the basis of the Zaslavsky state farm for the purpose of developing the poultry industry in accordance with the order of the USSR Ministry of Agriculture dated February 12, 1968, No. 39.
In 1992, the Belarusian Zonal Experimental Station for Poultry Farming became part of the Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Belarus.
Based on the order of the RO "Belptitseprom" (No. 102-p dated 08.06.2001), the "Belarusian Zonal Experimental Station for Poultry Farming" ("BelZOSP") was renamed into the "Republican Unitary Agricultural Scientific and Production Enterprise".
By the order of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus No. 184 dated 25 May 2006, the enterprise was renamed into the Republican Subsidiary Unitary Enterprise "Experimental Scientific Poultry Breeding Station" and transferred to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The main areas of scientific and scientific-technical activities of the organization are:
- selection and genetic work on the creation of new, improvement of existing lines and crosses of egg-laying hens, ducks and turkeys, development of methods and techniques for poultry selection;
- diagnostics, therapy and prevention of infectious and non-infectious diseases of birds;
- development and implementation of resource-saving technologies for the production of poultry products (eggs and poultry meat), participation in the creation of machinery and equipment for poultry farming;
- development of effective formulas for compound feeds and rational methods of feeding agricultural poultry, improvement of existing feeding standards;
- implementation and support of scientific achievements and best practices in breeding and industrial poultry farming.
Modern achievements of the station.
As a result of selection work, crosses of egg-laying hens with white and brown egg shells have been improved, characterized by an increased hatching rate of 80-82%, with high accuracy of separation of chickens by sex. In the "Belorussky" Breeding Poultry Farm" department of the 1st Minsk Poultry Farm, a selection flock of egg-laying hens with a high degree of manifestation of autosexism signs in the amount of 40.0 thousand heads has been formed.
The standards for the introduction of calcium feed sources into compound feed for replacement young hens of egg crosses have been determined, which are included in the Classifier of raw materials and products of the compound feed industry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus.
Optimum standards for the content of essential critical amino acids and macroelements in the pre-laying diet for egg-laying hens have been established.
Technological methods for stimulating the motor activity of young hens during early postnatal ontogenesis have been developed, ensuring sustainable growth, development and increased survivability of young animals during cultivation.
A laboratory installation for UVC-ultraviolet irradiation of hatching eggs for the purpose of their disinfection was tested in the conditions of the industrial hatchery of JSC Agrokombinat Skidelsky.
Scientifically based requirements for the spectrum of LED radiation for growing young chickens have been developed for use in industrial chicken keeping technology.
