An industry regulation has been developed for standard technological processes for industrial open-field watermelon cultivation. This regulatory document establishes requirements for the most efficient execution of technological operations and contains a list of controlled parameters, standards, and quality assessment levels.

The industry regulation is intended for agricultural specialists, teachers of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, and students of agricultural universities.

The industry regulations were developed by a team of authors from the Brest Regional Agricultural Experimental Station of the NAS of Belarus, RUE "Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Agricultural Mechanization" and the RUE "Institute of Vegetable Growing".

The main activities of the Brest Regional Agricultural Experimental Station of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus are:

The innovative activities of the RUE "Brest OSKHOS NAS of Belarus" include original seed production of new agricultural crop varieties and the production of fruit and berry planting material, in quantities that support planned variety renewal and variety rotation in the Brest Region, thereby directly influencing the development of variety policy in the region. The RUE "Brest OSKHOS NAS of Belarus" is the only producer of original seed material for major agricultural crops in the Brest Region.
