The Institute of Physics offers consumers a terahertz laser-optical spectrometer "Teraspectrometer" on the basis of a manufactoring agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
Computerized complex for measurements in the terahertz (THz) frequency range. The spectrometer is built in accordance with the principles of terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. To generate THz pulses, a dipole photoconductive antenna is used, which is excited by the femtosecond radiation of an ytterbium laser generating at a wavelength of 1.03 μm. The same radiation gates the photoantenna detector, which registers the amplitude and phase of the electric field of THz pulses that have passed through the object under study. The synchronous detection method is used to expand the dynamic range of the recorded signals.

* in science - to study the transmission and reflection spectra of various materials in the terahertz (THz) frequency range;
* in technology - for remote identification and contactless diagnostics of properties: semiconductor, ceramic, polymer and composite materials; terahertz metamaterials; biological objects; medical supplies; harmful and hazardous chemical compounds.
