Summary

Description
The Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has developed biopreparation «Teamine®» for regeneration of absorption solutions and deep purification of wastewater and air from trimethylamine, triethylamine and dimethylethylamine.

The basis of preparation is highly active microbial strains-degraders of tertiary amines (strains of microbial cultures Rhodococcus qingshengii HST-32 and Rhodococcus jialingiae HST-91);
titer - not less than 1.0×109 CFU/ml, concentrate - not less than 1.0×1011 CFU/ml.

Principle of action is based on the ability of microbial cultures making up biopreparation formula to perform biodegradation of trimethylamine, triethylamine and dimethylethylamine.

Efficiency:
* provides purification of absorption solutions from triethylamine and dimethylethylamine by 95..100%;
* eliminates the formation of secondary pollution;
* allows you to reduce material costs for cleaning and significantly reduce the risk of occupational diseases for employees involved in hazardous production.

The biopreparation «Teamine®» is not phytotoxic, harmless to the environment, humans, animals, birds, fish, bees. It allows to prevents environmental damage inflicted by discharge into the air of toxic compounds, belongs to low-hazard substances (class 4).

Application guidelines:
The biopreparation «Teamine®» is supplied directly into decontamination unit in 2% ratio of bioreactor volume. Compressed air is pumped continuously into absorption solution. Temperature of the solution varies in the range 20..35°C (optimal value 28°C); pH – 7.0..7.5; concentrations of the key pollutants should not exceed 2 g/l; mineral salts must be kept under 1% mark. The treated wastewaters and absorbing solutions may contain satellite organic compounds in levels not surpassing those of target contaminants. Presence of bactericides and antiseptics in process solutions is to be excluded. Special detoxification measures are not required. Shake up the product before use.
