Summary
The Institute of Microbiology offers consumers for research phospholipid derivatives of the modified nucleoside 6-tideoxyguanosine, which has an antitumor effect under a manufacturing agreement.
Description
Compounds potentially have improved antitumor properties compared to the original nucleoside. Once in the patient's body, the compounds are perceived by the telomerase of tumor cells as a substrate and instead of the natural nucleoside are inserted into the telomeres of the affected cells, which, thus, become altered and exposed to the body's immune system. Joint development with MAIA Biotechnology (USA). Preclinical tests have shown the formation of immune memory to a certain type of tumor. Clinical trials are currently underway.

Included in the Catalog of exhibits (TOP DEVELOPMENTS by exposition clusters) of the exhibition of scientific and technological achievements "Intellectual Belarus 2023".
