The use of this system of indicators allows:
* identify electoral preferences and expectations of citizens on the eve and after elections to state authorities and administration, as well as monitor their dynamics;
* determine the presence or absence of coincidences of electoral preferences and expectations with the actual results of the elections, which can be used during election campaigns, as well as in the development of probabilistic forecasts for elections, the development of various processes and phenomena within the political field of modern Belarus.

The development is aimed at optimizing the activities of government bodies, which entails a reduction in material costs for additional research in this subject area.

The Institute of Sociology is the leading research institution in Belarus working in the field of sociology. The Institute conducts research on a republican representative sample, including 7 regions (oblasts and Minsk), within which 6 territorial zones are allocated (from the level of regional centers to rural settlements).
