Summary
The Institute of Housing and Communal Services offers consumers equipment for the technological process of lifting and delivering water from artesian wells under a manufacturing agreement and is looking for partners to conclude a distribution services agreement.
Description
The proposed equipment is designed for the technological process of lifting and pumping water from artesian wells with a total mineralization (dry residue) of no more than 1500 mg/L, a pH of 6.5 to 9.5, a temperature of up to 35 ºC, and a solids content of no more than 0.01% (100 g/m3). The water pumping system contains no more than 350 mg/L of chlorides, no more than 500 mg/L of sulfates, and no more than 1.5 mg/L of hydrogen sulfide.
The highly efficient water supply system consists of: a high-efficiency borehole centrifugal pump; a permanent magnet synchronous motor; and a control and protection station with a frequency converter and telemetry.
The borehole centrifugal pump and the high-efficiency permanent magnet synchronous motor are structurally combined into an electric pump unit.

Application area (sector of the economy) – water supply systems in the following sectors: housing and utilities, energy, construction, industry, agriculture, and forestry.

The information is published in the Catalog "100 Best Developments of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for the National Economy in 2022–2023," 2024, pp. 108–110.(in Russian)
Advantages and Innovations
The use of stainless steel and other modern materials in the design of the electric pump unit extends the system's service life.
The equipment does not contain scarce or environmentally hazardous components; it is approximately half the price of foreign equivalents. Experience using synchronous drives instead of asynchronous drives in industrial conditions in the Republic of Belarus has shown that the specific power consumption of electric pump units with synchronous motors is lower than that of the best global equivalents ("Franklin Electric", Germany) with asynchronous motors by 9.51% or more, enabling a return on investment in advanced technologies in less than two years, despite the relatively high cost of synchronous drive systems (the cost of highly efficient synchronous systems is approximately 1.7–2.6 times higher than that of asynchronous systems). The equipment is characterized by a long service life, allowing for an increase in the operational life of water supply system equipment by approximately 1.5 times, while reducing water losses during the supply process by up to 5%.
