The WIPO Technology and Innovation Support Center was established on the basis of RCTT

January 31, 2022 Director General of the National Center for Intellectual Property of the Republic of Belarus (NCIP) Uladzimir Rabavolau and Director of the Center for System Analysis and Strategic Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (CSASR) Valery Hancharou signed an Agreement on the establishment of a WIPO Technology and Innovation Support Center on the basis of the Republican Center for Technology Transfer (RCTT).

The WIPO Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) program provides innovators in developing countries with access to locally-based, high-quality technology information and related services, helping them to exploit their innovative potential and to create, protect, and manage their intellectual property (IP) rights.

Services offered by the TISC based on RCTT include:

  • access to online patent and non-patent (scientific and technical) resources and IP-related publications;
  • assistance in searching and retrieving technology information;
  • training in database search;
  • on-demand searches (novelty, state-of-the-art and infringement);
  • monitoring technology and competitors;
  • basic information on industrial property laws, management and strategy, and technology commercialization and marketing
  • facilitate training seminars on TISC activities organized by NCIP, WIPO, European IP Helpdesk and others, including assistance in the appointment of external speakers from the network of European IP Helpdesk partners (for example, the European Network of National Intellectual Property Offices - INNOVACCESS, European Patent Office / Academy) for specific activities in the field of intellectual property.
