RCTT was given the status of an Innovation Commercialization Centre of the Interstate Program for Innovative Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period up to 2030

On September 23, 2022, in Moscow, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States Serik Zhumangarin, the 95th meeting of the CIS Economic Council was held, during which a wide range of issues of economic cooperation of the member states was considered CIS.

By decision of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was given the status of an Innovation Commercialization Centre of the Interstate Program for Innovative Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period up to 2030 (hereinafter referred to as the Program).

Innovation Commercialization Centre (ICC) is an organization whose activities are aimed at creating conditions for generating income from the use of the results of scientific research carried out in state scientific organizations and private companies under agreements, contracts, contracts involving these results in economic circulation.

Financing of ICCs activities is carried out from off-budget sources not prohibited by the legislation of the country where the commercialization center is located.

The network of ICCs is a set of commercialization centers operating in the states participating in the Program and united into a single system based on common rules for the functioning and management of information exchange.

Users of the services of the ICCs are individuals and legal entities - developers and owners of commercialized technologies, as well as economic entities of various forms of ownership specializing in the commercialization of innovations, both of the Program participants and other interested CIS member states.

Services provided by ICCs are carried out in accordance with the legislation of the country where the commercialization center is located, both free of charge and on a commercial basis. The provision of paid services by ICCs can be drawn up in the form of an agreement between the customer and the commercialization center.

The purpose of creating a network of ICCs is to increase the number of implemented innovative projects. This can be achieved by:

  • formation of an effective interstate system for ensuring the transfer of technologies developed in the states participating in the Program;
  • creation of conditions for receiving income from the use of the results of scientific research and developments of the states-participants of the Program;
  • creation of conditions for the commercialization of innovative projects on a multilateral basis (three or more commercialization centers);
  • organization on a permanent basis of mutual information about innovative projects proposed for implementation in the states participating in the Program.

The operator of the Interstate Program for Innovative Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period up to 2030 is the Skolkovo Foundation.
